Girls Rock

Yesterday I had the privilege of teaching yoga to a group of about 50 high school and college women yesterday as part of the Women & Girls Empowerment Initiative. They were a part of a much larger group gathered to take part in this leadership summit. The event was held at the Governors Mansion and I couldn't help but hope that one day these women would not be guests of the Governor, but that one day they would hold offices of their own. I have every confidence that they will move thorough this world not afraid to speak their truth and carry their power without shame or guilt. May they look to each other as allies and together may they rise up beyond hope or expectation. Own this moment ladies. And all the ones that follow. The time is now.
