About the Event
Yoga in Action: An Introduction with Carrington Razook Jackson Saturday, April 18, 10:30-1:30pm Samadhi Yoga Golden Triangle Studio Invenstment $45
Yoga is a practice both on and off the mat. While on the mat, the practice serves as a pathway towards self-awareness… an accountability and acceptance of body, mind and spirit. Yoga on the mat builds the relationship between you and YOU and is a vital part of healing our inner world.
Yoga off the mat is a practice of the interpersonal, which has to do with our relationships to other people, as well as to our environment and all living beings. Yoga in Action is a grassroots program created by Off the Mat Into The World, (founded by Seane Corn, Hala Khouri and Suzanne Sterling), and is an opportunity to build community around yoga, activism and service at a local level. This 3-hour workshop is an introduction to the Yoga In Action program and is an avenue to develop relationships with other yogis and activists, and to collaborate on creating authentic and sustainable change.
By bridging the gap between yoga on and off the mat, our internal awareness can lead to conscious action within communities & the outside world. The session contains asana, meditation, lecture, journaling and group work. All levels welcome.
